5 Surprising Reasons Why Coronado Springs Is The Best Disney Resort For Fit Moms

Coronado Springs is one of the most popular moderate resorts at Disney World for many reasons - the whole resort is beautifully designed, has a nice variety of dining options, and genuinely feels like a deluxe resort for the moderate price tag.

One reason you may have not of thought about is how many amenities and features are offered to help you stay on track of your health and fitness goals.

Even if you’re on a family vacation, you may still want to sneak in a quick workout before you head to the parks or grab a high protein meal as you sit down for dinner with your family.

In today’s post, I’ll be sharing 5 reasons why Coronado Springs is the BEST Disney Resort for Fit Moms!

There are (not one, but) two gym facilities available to all guests

You read that right - two!

One located in the Grand Destino Tower, and the other located within the Casitas neighbourhood.

Whether you’re staying within the tower or one of the neighbourhoods, you have access to both.

On top of this fact, it is also the only resort that isn’t a deluxe resort to also have any gym facility.

Both gyms are open 24-hours a day - making it really accessible to fit in a quick lift before the kids wake up or after they fall asleep at night.

If you prefer to run, there is a scenic jogging trail around the lake

While the jogging trail is approximately a 0.9 mile loop around the Lago Dorado (the lake), you can extend your run with the jogging trail that leads to the Ranchos and Cabanas.

It’s a BIG resort with lots of walking, so you’ll definitely get your steps in - even on resort only days

Even if you choose not to get a formal workout in, you’ll still be walking a lot.

Coronado Springs is one of Disney World’s largest resorts - occupying nearly 150 acres.

So I think it is an understatement to say: you’ll be walking a lot!

The property is thoughtfully designed so that no matter where you are staying, there is still quite the walking involved.

If you are staying at the outdoor neighborhoods (Casitas, Ranchos, or Cabanas), you’ll have to trek your way towards the main buildings (the Grand Destino Tower and old check-in building) to enjoy most of the on-site dining, lounges, and gift shop.

If you are staying in the Grand Destino Tower, you’ll still have to trek your way to the other side of the lake near the Ranchos neighborhood to use The Dig Site - where you will find the resort’s feature pool, The Lost City Of Cibola, arcade, volleyball court, and poolside recreational activities - like pool games, relays, trivia, and more.

So if you want to get your steps in, Coronado Springs definitely is a great place to do that.

“Did you say… pool and volleyball court?”

Yes, actually - I did!

Coronado Springs offers 4 pools and a sand court for volleyball at the Dig Site and you can check out equipment as the Siesta Pool Bar.

Playing a few games of volley ball with friends or family, then swimming around the pool are great ways to get your whole body moving while enjoying the beautiful Florida weather.

It’s so much fun, it doesn’t even feel like a workout!

There are a lot of high-protein meal options at their quick service restaurant
