Steamed Pork Cabbage Dumplings

Ingredients:

  • 8 large napa cabbage leaves

  • 300 grams of lean ground pork

  • 1/2 cup of chopped carrots

  • 1/2 cup of chopped onions

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe:

  1. Blanch the cabbage leaves in hot water until they become soft and more malleable to work with.

  2. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, carrot, onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Evenly separate the pork mixture into 8 portions and roll each portion within a cabbage leaf to make a cabbage roll.

  4. Steam the cabbage dumplings for 20-25 minutes.

Optional: Drizzle with your favourite sauce. We like hoisin or peanut sauce in our household.
