Ingredients:
1 Sirloin tip beef roast
4 cups of bone broth
1 large onion
8 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp cooking oil of your choice
Recipe:
In a bowl, mix together all of the seasonings.
Chop the onion in half and remove the skin from the garlic cloves. Set side for later.
Cut the sirloin tip beef roast in half to make it more manageable to work with and speed up cooking time.
Season generously on all sides of the roast using the seasoning blend you created.
Set the Instant Pot to "Sauté" mode and heat up the cooking oil.
Sear the roast on all sides until a brown crust begins to form. Then, set side on a plate for later.
Saute the onions and garlic until they begin to form some color.
Add the bone broth and using a wooden spoon or silicon spatula, begin scraping the brown bits off the bottom of the instant pot to deglaze.
Once all of the brown bits are scraped off, add the roast back into the pot with the onions, garlic and bone broth.
Change the setting on the Instant Pot to "Pressure Cook." Put the lid on and set it to cook for 1 hour.
Once the cooking is complete, manually vent the Instant Pot and take off the lid.
Begin shredding the meat within the bone broth.
